We exist for God's pleasure and glory!

A few months ago, I had this startling revelation:
If everything God does is good and perfect (and it is), then
I can trust God COMPLETELY with
my life, my family, my possessions, my church family...in a nutshell,
everything!

So, the following quote perfectly captures why this is true for me, and should be for you, if you are a God Follower.

"Once we agree with God that we exist for His pleasure and His glory, we can accept whatever comes into our lives as part of His sovereign will and purpose. We will not resent, resist, or reject the 'hard things,' but embrace them as friends, sovereignly designed by God to make us like Jesus and to bring glory to Himself."*

My dear, dear friends - do you truly grasp and understand the truth of these statements? We can, with great confidence, obey/trust/follow God and know the outcome will be for our good! You see, God is perfect. Anything He does will be perfect! So, how can anything He brings about in our lives be anything less than His perfection? Even the "hard things."

Praise God!
Praise Him for both the good and hard things in your life.
Praise God because He IS God!

Stop trusting yourself.
Start trusting God.
Why would we trust anyone other than our Perfect, Heavenly Father? Our Creator?
Trusting myself and my own understanding, and not trusting God and obeying Him, is sin.

I praise God for Sarah, Leah, Megan Fox, Alicia, Meagan Fowler, Corina, Jenna, Elizabeth and Samantha coming to small group last night! We missed Vicki, Jessica, Danielle, Sasha and Jamie. Next week we begin our new study "Bitsize Theology" and are on Chapter 3: God. I pray your love for God will deepen as a result of this study. And, perhaps a few more smiles will erupt on your faces whenever anyone mentions the word "theology!"
